A Message from Administration
The Champaign Unit #4 School Board wants to hear your voice. The Board is looking for a Centennial student to be a Student Ambassador.
The Student Ambassador will
· Attend all regular and study session meetings of the Board
· Meet with a variety of students and student groups in order to gain a broad understanding of student interests, concerns and needs
· Represent all students
· Communicate student viewpoints on issues before the Board
· Answer Board questions and concerns from a student perspective
· Review the Board meeting packet and student-generated discussion items with his/her Principal prior to each Board meeting
You can pick up an application today in the JUNIOR/SENIOR CENTER or the FRESHMAN/SOPHOMORE CENTER.
· Applications are due to Mr. Neitzel in the Main Office by Monday, May 22nd.

Students who receive this recognition have been nominated by their coach for outstanding performance, both on and off the field.
Congratulations to the Charger Archery Team!! They participated in the NASP Nationals Tournament this past weekend, competing with 247 other high schools from across the nation, The Chargers placed 36th. Individually, Maria Heller placed 13th and Haylie Denzer placed 57th, both out of 2150 high school girls....and Will McNattin placed 102nd out of 2418 high school boys.
Attention all future actors, comedians, poets, writers, educators, doctors, lawyers, politicians and beyond. The Charger Speech team invites you to audition for next season's team on Monday, May 15, thru Wednesday May 17 in room 207W from 3:30 pm to 6 pm. You only need to attend 1 day. Auditions are walk-in & will be "first come, first served." Don't miss out.
Cheer Tryouts will be held on May 16-19 from 7-9 pm. You must be in attendance all 4 nights. Please meet in the Centennial Gym. If you have questions, please email Chargerscheer2009@gmail.com.
Tuesday May 16 at 7:00 p.m. the Tragic Comedian Acting Class will be presenting a comic murder mystery, And Then There Was One, in Aldridge Auditorium. Cost is $1.00.
PE make-ups will be taking place on Tuesday (5/16), both before school and after school. Students will need to be dressed in their PE clothes and ready to go on the track or student entrance stairwell (in the case of inclement weather) by 7:30am and/or 3:30pm. An intercom announcement will be made as to the exact location. Before school, students should come through the student entrance to access the locker rooms.
Are you interested in discussing how race informs one's identity? Do you want to formulate ways to advocate for racial and social justice within our school and community? Please come to Girls' RISE (Racial Identity Student Leadership) on Wednesday, May 17 at 3:30 in room 230. Snacks will be provided.
Attention boys track. If you are not on the sectional roster, please be prepared to turn in your equipment on Tuesday, May 16thafter school. The coaches will meet you in the locker room by 3:30. Again, please have all gear ready to return by Tuesday, May 16th.
Students taking AP World History next year need to come to an after school meeting on Wednesday, May 24 or Thursday, May 25 in room 119 to discuss the class as well as the required summer assignment. If you have any questions please see Mr. Scarlett in room 215 or Mr. Jackson in room 219.
