Upcoming Clubs and Activities Events  

  • If you are attending football games this year, please remember that backpacks are not allowed inside the stadium. You will need to leave them at home or in your vehicle. 
  • The athletic office will be pre-selling tickets for the Centennial vs Central football game this Friday. Tickets will be on sale at lunch and after school until 3:45 on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Adult tickets are $4 and student tickets are $3. 
  • Book Club will meet TODAY after school.  We will get to know each other a little bit and just chat about what books we like to read.  It will last until approximately 3:50 pm.  Then, you will be free to browse the library and check out books.  Please join us!
  • Seniors if you are interested in reading the announcements please contact Mrs. Bonam. 
  • Mark your calendar for this year’s Open House, which will be held Tuesday, September 10. 

College and Career Event:

The following institutions will be visiting Centennial next week. Please note that all students can attend a college visit, and must sign up at least the school day before to attend. Students must have permission from the teacher whose class they will be missing, as well as their parent/guardians to attend, and will be responsible for any missing work. Students can sign up for visits on Naviance, or can talk to Mr. Chun at the College and Career Center.

The following institutions will be visiting Centennial next week: 

Wednesday, September 4th: 

5th hour: Washington University in St. Louis (Wash U) 

7th hour: Indiana State University.

If you would like to sign up for the PSAT/NMSQT (National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) for this year, registration will take place September 9, 10, 11 at the main lobby after school starting at 3:20pm. The cost of the test will be $18. Please talk to Mr. Chun (College and Career counselor) if you have any questions!  

Senior Night will be Tuesday, September 10th at the College and Career Lecture Hall (room 119) at 7:00 pm. Parents and students can learn about how to plan for life after high school, and can also attend informational sessions with admissions representatives from the University of Illinois and Parkland College. Please contact Mr. Chun if you have any questions!
