Upcoming Clubs and Activities Events  

  • Do you like to dance? Come join the dance team. The clinics dates are May 13th & 15th from 7-8:30 pm and the tryouts are May 16th from 7--8:30 pm in the gymnasium. If you have any questions email Coach Jones at chs.chargers.dance1@gmail.com. .   
  • It's the end of the semester and you're stressed out. Come enjoy the calm of the centuries old Japan tradition of tea ceremony.  The last tea ceremony of the year will be Tuesday, May 21st, at 3:30pm in the library.  Mrs. Gunji, Marc, Diana, and Kristen will be here to share the mindfulness of tea ceremony. This is free and open to anyone. Get yourself centered right before finals.
  • Prom tickets are on sale now through Thursday, May 9th. Tickets will be sold before and after school and during 6th hour lunch. Students can get cleared for Prom after school in main office. Students must have the red clearance tickets to purchase Prom tickets. Ticket are $50.00.
  •  Anyone interested in attending summer school applications for academic are in the main office or freshman/sophomore center.

College and Career Event:

The following institutions will be visiting Centennial next week. Please note that all students can attend a college visit, and must sign up at least the school day before to attend. Students must have permission from the teacher whose class they will be missing, as well as their parent/guardians to attend, and will be responsible for any missing work. Students can sign up for visits on Naviance, or can talk to Mr. Chun at the College and Career Center. 

     Friday, May 10th               4th hour   Army 

The University of Illinois pre-apprenticeship program will be having open interviews on Monday, May 20th, from 2nd to 3rd hour in room 119. This program can help students learn about the trades, work up to 40 hours a week with a $10 per hour rate. Please see Mr. Chun for a pass to go to this event.

Students who don’t have a class scheduled during a given hour do NOT need to report to or remain at school during that hour.  Freshman and Sophomore students do NOT need to attend their Advisory periods on Exam days.  These students may study quietly in the cafeteria.  Students who are not taking Exams should not loiter in the hallways because this disrupts the Exam environment!  

Please Note: Any request to take exams outside of the above times must be submitted IN WRITING to the Associate Principal as far in advance as possible.  The request should include which exams need to be taken outside of the scheduled times and the reason(s) why.  Please note that requests are NOT guaranteed and may be denied.  Please make every effort to take exams during the times scheduled above.
