Upcoming Clubs and Activities Events:

  • Seniors, Prom is April 25th at the Ihotel. WE need to vote on a theme. Make sure you go onto Google Classroom and vote for a Theme. 
  • Texas Roadhouse Dine-to-Donate Centennial Bands Fundraiser today from 4:00-10:00 pm 10% of the food purchases goes to the Centennial Bands! Flier not needed; just tell your server you’re there to support Centennial Bands.
  •  “C2 Productions The Hunchback of Notre Dame opens Thursday, February 13th!  Join Centennial and Central students as they tell the story of Quasimodo, Esmeralda, and Phoebus as they fight against prejudice and oppression from Frollo. Shows are February 13th -15th at 7:00 PM and Sunday, February 16th at 2:00 PM.  Tickets are $10.00 for students and children, and $15.00 for adults. Questions? Email Ms Green at greenli@u4sd.org.”
  • Do you like poems? Do you want to make a difference? Come to room 226 and talk to Ms. Hindes about the Black Writers Read-in. The Black Writers Read-in is an event Minority Authors puts on during the month of February to celebrate Black culture.
  • French Club presents: Valentine's Cafe! Sip hot chocolate, listen to crooning French love songs and make French valentines. Our cafe is open from 3:30 to 4:30 in room 221. Sign up with Madame.

College and Career Event:

The following institutions will be visiting Centennial High School:

The following institutions will be visiting Centennial next week. Please note that all students can attend a college visit, and must sign up at least the school day before to attend. Students must have permission from the teacher whose class they will be missing, as well as their parent/guardians to attend, and will be responsible for any missing work. Students can sign up for visits on Naviance, or can talk to Mr. Chun at the College and Career Center.

There are a lot of different fun and job opportunities on the College and Career Center Website. The U of I have many visiting and summer opportunities for students, Boy's and Girl's State offers great programs for students interested in learning about team building, and there are multiple part time job opportunities. Please check them out at the CCC website!

Parkland's Early College program helps students gain general education credits at Parkland College, while they are a student at Centennial! If you are interested in this program, there is an informational session at Parkland College Student Union today, from 4:00-7:00 pm.

Students who are planning on taking a dual credit class next year MUST turn in their signed dual credit paperwork by Friday, February 14th. Any student who does not turn in this form will not be registered for that class for the following school year. Forms were handed to you by counselors during registration, but they will also be mailed home. Please talk to Mr. Chun if you have any questions, or need another form.
