Clubs and Activities

  • LiNK is selling Valentine’s Day rice krispies to be sent to someone special this Valentine’s Day. Stop by the main lobby during lunch TODAY to send an encouragement, and help people in need.

  • GSA will be having a meeting this Thursday, February 15th, at 7:30am in room 104. Hope to see you there!

  • Looking to shower your friends with Valentine? What better way than with fresh flowers delivered on February 14th?

    Dance Marathon will be selling carnations for $2.00 each. Send a note and flower to be delivered on Valentine’s Day. Come to room 236 to purchase your flower. Add a message free

  • Congratulations to the Charger Archery Team for their 1st place win at the Cupid Classic in Armstrong this past weekend. Top boys included: Leavell Allen – 4th place, Tristian Summers- 5th place, and Ben Kirkland – 7th place. Top girls include: Maria Heller – 2nd place, Haylie Denzer – 4th place, Alexis Lyell – 5th place, Gina Kim – 8th place, Erin Eastham – 9th place and Cayla Risinger – 10th place. Great job!! Their next tournament is this Saturday in Peoria.

  • All students interested in playing girls soccer should attend a girls soccer meeting on Wednesday, February 14th at 3:30 pm in the fitness room. Anyone interested in being a part of the team should make sure to be registered online with athletic department AND have a valid physical on file.

  • Are you interested in talking about issues important to you in your community and outside your community, then come to SJAC’s RealTalk. Our first RealTalk TODAY in the library, 6th hour lunch, pizza will be provided. Come out and speak your mind freely with your peers and staff members. The topic is “Fights”

  • Do you have a teacher or leader you think should be recognized for their dedication to justice at school and in the community? Well then head down to the English office and fill out an application for that leader to win the Audre Lorde Award. Qualifications include standing up to oppressors, Uplifting marginalized groups, and dismantles racism, all under any circumstances.

  • It’s that time of the year again! The Minority Authors class and Black Culture Club will be hosting The Black Writers Read-In Thursday, February 15th in the auditorium. This all-day event consists of students and staff reading poems written by black authors in honor of black history month. This year’s theme is Poetic Justice. See if you can find poems that are about justice gained, wanted or not given. If you are interested in reading during this event then sign up outside the English office as soon as possible. Your poem must be approved by Tuesday, February 13th. Everyone who reads will receive a free t-shirt after the event.

  • Accommodation request consent forms for the SAT and PSAT 10 for students with an IEP or a 504 were mailed home in January and have also been delivered to students. If your student is requesting accommodations for the school test dates in April, the consent form must be turned in immediately to the Main Office. Please contact Mr. Neitzel if you have any questions. Thank you
