Upcoming Clubs and Activities Events

  • Track and Field season is almost here!  If you are interested in being a part of the boys track and field team this year, please make plans to attend a brief meeting on today  after school.  We will meet in room 119 at 3:30 pm.  If you are involved in a winter sport and cannot make the meeting, please see Coach Easter in the gym or weight room as soon as possible.  Again, boys track and field meeting on today at, 3:30 in room 119.
  • Last day to take senior photos is Wednesday, December 12th. Photos will take place in the auditorium. Sign up for your photo or retake at you must use the information used to register you for school.
  • We want you to be in the Spectrum talent show! Join Ms. Green and the Thespian Troupe on Wednesday, December 12th at 8:30 am and at 3:30 pm in room 119 to get information about our school-wide talent showcase!  Email Ms. Green with any questions at
  • Toy for Tots has a box is in the main office. Please consider dropping off a new toy(s) for a child this holiday season.
  • Congratulations to Centennial's Scholastic Bowl Teams.  On Friday, Centennial Scholastic Bowl won the Big 12 conference with a perfect tournament (5-0,) defeating Normal in the finals, 450-130.
    The Scholastic Bowl J.V. team also did quite well Friday. They finished as conference runners-up, our best finish at the J.V. conference level.
  • Come support the dance team Flapjack fundraiser at Applebee's ( 2121 North Prospect Ave.) on Saturday December 15th from 8:00-10:00 am. You may purchase a $5.00 ticket from a dance team member or Coach Jones. Tickets will also be sold at the door.

Students who don’t have a class scheduled during a given hour do NOT need to report to or remain at school during that hour.  Freshman and Sophomore students do NOT need to attend their Advisory periods on Exam days.  These students may study quietly in the cafeteria.  Students who are not taking Exams should not loiter in the hallways because this disrupts the Exam environment! 

Please Note: Any request to take exams outside of the above times must be submitted IN WRITING to the Associate Principal as far in advance as possible. The request should include which exams to be taken outside of the scheduled times and the reason (s) why. Please note that request are NOT guaranteed and may be denied. Please make every effort to take exams during the times scheduled above.
