Upcoming Clubs and Activities Events

  • PE make-ups will be taking place today both before and after school. Student will need to be dressed in PE clothes and ready to be on the track or student entrance stairwell (in case of inclement weather) by 7:30 am and or 3:30 pm. An intercom announcement will be made as to the exact location. Before school ,students should come through the student entrance

  • Want to learn to knit?  Already an experienced knitter?  Everyone is welcome in the knitting club.  Come to the informational meeting after school today in Room 122 and then join us after school Thursday, December 13th to begin knitting your project.  See Mrs. Sudlow in room 122 if you have any questions.

  • The Choir department is sharing holiday cheer in the main hallway for teachers and staff at 7:45-8:00am and for students from 8:00-8:05.  Please join us.  Coffee and tea will be available in the main hall for everyone until it is empty each day.

  • Need help preparing for any social studies finals? Come to study sessions hosted by Rho Kappa Honor Society in room 213 after school on Tuesdays. There will be a space to study with knowledgeable students willing to help in any way shape or form in classes ranging from economics to world history. Don’t be shy, come on by: room 213, after school, on Tuesdays." 

  • Last day to take senior photos is Wednesday, December 12th. Photos will take place in the auditorium. Sign up for your photo or retake at vipis.com you must use the information used to register you for school.

  • We want you to be in the Spectrum talent show! Join Ms. Green and the Thespian Troupe on Wednesday, December 12th at 8:30 am and at 3:30 pm in room 119 to get information about our school-wide talent showcase!  Email Ms. Green with any questions at greenli@u4sd.org.

  • It's time for another TEA CEREMONY!  Wednesday, December 12th, Sensei (pronounced Sen-say) Gunji, Mark, Diana and other tea ceremony students from the U of I Japan House will be in the library to share the ancient Japanese art of tea ceremony.  This is open to everyone at Centennial and will start at 3:30 pm.  Get your matcha on in the library.

  • Track and Field season will be starting soon!  If you are interested in being a part of the girls track and field team this year, please make plans to attend a brief meeting on Thursday, December 13th after school.  We will meet in room 119 at 3:30 pm.  If you are involved in a winter sport and cannot make the meeting, please contact Coach Buss before winter break.

Students who don’t have a class scheduled during a given hour do NOT need to report to or remain at school during that hour.  Freshman and Sophomore students do NOT need to attend their Advisory periods on Exam days.  These students may study quietly in the cafeteria.  Students who are not taking Exams should not loiter in the hallways because this disrupts the Exam environment! 

Please Note: Any request to take exams outside of the above times must be submitted IN WRITING to the Associate Principal as far in advance as possible. The request should include which exams to be taken outside of the scheduled times and the reason (s) why. Please note that request are NOT guaranteed and may be denied. Please make every effort to take exams during the times scheduled above.
