Clubs and Activities

  • Math Peer Tutoring is available Tuesday and Thursday afternoon in room 236, from 3:30 – 4:30 pm., Wednesday morning tutoring in the IMC from 8:00- 8:50 am! Wednesday afternoon from 3:30- 4:30 pm in room 239.

  • This a reminder to all those eligible to participate in the Academic Award night to please RSVP with the Main office by Wednesday, November 8th. Please note the night of the ceremony has changed to Wednesday, November 15th.

  • All wrestlers the season starts on Monday, November 6th. Make sure your physical is turned in and you are registered online. We will meet right after school in the gymnasium on the south deck. Coach Mears

  • PE make- up will be taking place on Tuesday, November 7th, both before and after school. Students will need to be dressed in their PE clothes and ready to go on the track or student entrance stairwell (in case of inclement weather) by 7:30 am and/or 3:30 pm. An intercom announcement will be made as to the exact location. Before school, students should come through the student entrance to access the locker rooms.

  • Boys basketball tryouts will begin on Monday, November 6th. Students must have an updated athletic physical on file in the athletic department. Times are Freshmen 4:00-6:00 pm, Sophomores 3:30-5:00 pm, Varsity 5:00- 7:00 pm.

  • Want to work with horses? Or hear how we can influence our school lunches? To learn about these great opportunities, come to the Charger 4-H Meeting on Tuesday, November 7that 3:30 pm in room 115.

  • THANK YOU! If you went to Smoothie King October 10th you helped raise $300 for Hurricane Victims. The Charger 4-H and Smoothie King both thank you.

  • “STEMX is on November 11th, at the Material Science and Engineering Building, Room 100 (1304 W. Green Street, Urbana) from10:00 am – 5:00 pm. It is a day long program that exposes STEM – related field to high school through workshops, activities, and a design competition. Toregister go to: https://sites.google.com/illinois.edu/stemx.   • Students interested in learning about racial identity development and becoming advocates for racial justice should consider joining RISE (Racial Identity Student Experience). RISE is comprised of students from Central, Centennial, and Novak and caring adults who wish to formulate a progressive understanding about race. All genders and gender expression are welcome. A light dinner will be provided. The first meeting is at Centennial on November 7th in the Library and Room 127 from 4:00-5:30 pm. Centennial students can see Ms. Aikman, Ms. Bonam, Mr. Carter, Mr. Henderson, Ms. Downs, Ms. Fundator, Ms. Gentry, Mr. Turner, and Ms. Hutchison for more information.

  • Do you have a great idea for a company, and want help to make it into a reality? The young Entrepreneur Program connects students with amazing, successful, local business leaders such as :- A U of I robotics professor who helped created the Virtual Reality headset “Occulus Rift” – Leaders of the Small Business Development Center – Company leaders from the Research Park – and more ! If you are interested, please attend the information meeting on Tuesday, November 7th at 7th hour! Please see Mr. Chun to sign up!
