Clubs and Activities

  • Math Peer Tutoring is available Tuesday and Thursday in room 236, from 3:30 – 4:30 pm. Starting November 1st , we will also have peer tutoring in the IMC from 8:00- 8:50 am! Come to school at the usual time and get some math done! Remember, IMC on 8:00 am on Wednesday for Peer Tutoring!

  • All wrestlers the season starts on Monday, November 6th. Make sure your physical is turned in and you are registered online. We will meet right after school in the gymnasium on the south deck. Coach Mears

  • “Interested in joining the National English Honor Society? Come to room 203 after school today. You must be at least a sophomore with a minimum overall and English GPA of a 3.0. See Ms. Green for more details.”

  • African American Culture Club will meet today at 3:30 pm in room 127. We will be discussing the theme for our annual talent. We look forward to seeing you there.

  • “STEMX is on Saturday, November 11 at the Material Science and Engineering Building, room 100 (1304 W. Green Street, Urbana) from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. It is a day long program that exposes STEM-related fields to high school students through workshops, activities, and a design competition.   • Students interested in learning about racial identity development and becoming advocates for racial justice should consider joining RISE (Racial Identity Student Experience). RISE is comprised of students from Central, Centennial, and Novak and caring adults who wish to formulate a progressive understanding about race. All genders and gender expression are welcome. A light dinner will be provided. The first meeting is at Centennial on November 7th in the Library and Room 127 from 4:00-5:30 pm. Centennial students can see Ms. Aikman, Ms. Bonam, Mr. Carter, Mr. Henderson, Ms. Downs, Ms. Fundator, Ms. Gentry, Mr. Turner, and Ms. Hutchison for more information.

  • Do you have a great idea for a company, and want help to make it into a reality? The young Entrepreneur Program connects students with amazing, successful, local business leaders such as :- A U of I robotics professor who helped created the Virtual Reality headset “Occulus Rift” – Leaders of the Small Business Development Center – Company leaders from the Research Park – and more ! If you are interested, please attend the information meeting on Tuesday, November 7th at 7th hour! Please see Mr. Chun to sign up!
