Upcoming Clubs and Activities Events:
- PE make-ups will be taking place Tuesday, November 26th both before and after school. Student will need to be dressed in PE clothes and ready to be on the track or north gym deck (in case of inclement weather) by 7:30 am and or 3:30 pm. An intercom announcement will be made as to the exact location. Before school, students should come through the main entrance
- Attention Students: Our Child Development classes are doing an important project with infant simulators. It is very important that other students do not hit or harm the infant simulators. It is not the type of behavior we even want to joke about. Thank you.
- If you are missing car key fobs please check the lost and found in the attendance office.
College and Career Events:
The Housing Authority of Champaign County had three scholarships from $5000-$7000 for seniors with a B average, and residing in the housing program. The application is on Naviance and it is due January 31, 2020. Please talk to Mr. Chun if you have any questions.
Congratulations to the Girls’ Swimming and Diving Team for winning the 2019 Sectionals Championship! This is their 5th year in a row winning Sectionals. Our athletes who medaled Saturday include: Junior Hannah Hong won 1st Place in Diving and broke the pool record and also the Sectionals Meet Record. Junior Emme Pianfetti won 2nd place in Diving. Both Hannah and Emme will be competing at the State Championship. Freshman Ava Bernacchi finished 4th in the 200 Free and 3rd in the 500 Free. Senior Megan Bernacchi finished 2nd in the 200 IM and 4th in the 100 Fly. Freshman Marin McAndrew finish 2nd in the 50 Free and 3rd in the 100 Free. Our 200 Medley Relay finished 2nd with swimmers Annika Scott, Megan Bernacchi, Marin McAndrew, and Kaitlyn Lassy. The 200 Free finish 3rd with swimmers Annika Scott, Kaitlyn Lassy, Ava Bernacchi, and Lexie Seten. The 400 Relay finish in 1st place with swimmers, Ava Bernacchi, Lexi Seten, Megan Bernacchi, and Marin McAndrew and this relay will be competing at the State Championship later this week. Please congratulate the Centennial Girls Swim/Dive team on another Sectional championship this past weekend. This is their FIFTH consecutive Sectional title. They will be sending several individuals on to the state meet this weekend in Evanston. As a result, the entire team is being celebrated as our Athletes of the Week.
This week, we also take a look at some of Coach Easter's favorite memories from his time as the AD here at Centennial. Before moving back to the classroom, he spent several years as the AD.
