Clubs and Activities

  • If you are interested in studying abroad during high school, we will be having an informational meeting today, during 5th hour in room 119! Please see Mr. Chun to sign up!

  • PE make-ups will be taking place today before school and after school. Students will need to be dressed in PE clothes and ready to go on the track or student entrance stairwell (in the case of inclement weather) by 7:30 am and 3:30 pm. An intercom announcement will be made as to the exact locations. Before school, students should come through the student entrance to access the locker rooms.

  • Will our planet look the same in 100 years? How would you like to submit a small object, piece of art, or letter, and place it in a time capsule in D.C. that will be dug up in 100 years? Charger 4-H is collecting artifacts to mail this Friday. Look for collection boxes in classrooms mentioned on posters around school.

  • There will be an informational meeting for new members of SPanish Honor Society on Thursday, November 16th after school in Room 225. Students must be in at least SPanish III and demonstrate high success in their Spanish classes. See Ms. Bednar with any questions.

  • Share in a ritual over one thousand years old and join us in the Library Wednesday after school for an introduction to Japanese Tea Ceremony with students of Tea Ceremony from the University of Illinois’s Japan House. This is open to all students and staff and will begin promptly at 3:30 pm so arrive a little early for a good seat.

  • Seniors: If you did not come and fill out the card for your name on your diploma and measurements for your graduation gown with Josten’s, when they were here in October. Please stop by the main office before and after school or during your lunch hour.

  • The Martin Luther King Jr. Expressions competition is looking for students who submit a work of essays, poems,

songs, short stories, drawings, painting, mixed media, sculpture, or multimedia presentations about justice, community and Dr. King’s dream. More guidelines can be found on the College and Career Website! Submissions are due Friday, December 8th!  And the winners will be honored at a luncheon next semester!
