Upcoming Clubs and Activities Events:
- Chocolate! Chocolate! Chocolate! Come learn ALL ABOUT CHOCOLATE and TASTE delectable samples. EVERYONE is invited to a FREE chocolate tasting after school at 3:30 pm in room 119. Mrs. Heather Miller will be educating us on different varieties of chocolate, then we will enjoy free samples.
- It is National 4-H Week. This year’s mission is: Inspire Kids to Do.4-H reaches nearly 200,000 youth in Illinois annually ranging in age from eight to eighteen and whose club members perform countless hours of community service. Fun Fact: Chocolate comes from a fruit tree; it's made from a seed. Each cacao tree produces about 2,500 beans. It takes 400 cocoa beans to make one pound of chocolate.
- "Want to know how you can make a difference in climate change? Come to the Youth Sustainability Summit on October 13th to engage in the discussion and hear from experts in the field. - Need help with a writing assignment? Need a quiet place to work? Come to the Writing Center! There are plenty of tutors available to help in English, history, science, creative writing, and anything else you can think of at any stage of the writing process! We also help with college applications and ACT/SAT practice. There is also plenty of workspace (and sometimes even snacks). We are available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday after school from 3:30 to 4:30 in room 228!
College and Career Center Events:
The following institutions will be visiting Centennial next week. Please note that all students can attend a college visit, and must sign up at least the school day before to attend. Students must have permission from the teacher whose class they will be missing, as well as their parent/guardians to attend, and will be responsible for any missing work. Students can sign up for visits on Naviance, or can talk to Mr. Chun at the College and Career Center.
