Clubs and Activities

  • Boy’s track and field tryouts will begin on Monday, January 22nd. Anyone interested in being a part of the team should make sure to be registered online with athletic department AND have a valid physical on file with the AD before tryouts. Winter sport athletes will tryout after their current season is over. If you have any questions, please see Coach Easter.

  • Interested in speaking about your experiences of your diagnosed disability impacting your everyday life and identity at the end of January? Please see Ms. Hindes in the English Office. We are looking for students to speak about visible and invisible disabilities.

  • Come to the Spectrum Talent Show and support your friends! The talent show runs Friday, January 19th and Saturday, January 20th at 7:00 pm Tickets are $5.00, and you can purchase them from the performers or at the door. Questions? Contact Ms. Green at greenli@u4sd.org

  • Students interested in learning about racial identity development and becoming advocates for racial justice should consider joining RISE. RISE, the Racial Identity Student Experience, is comprised of students from Central, Centennial and Novak and caring adults who wish to formulate a progressive understanding about race. All genders and gender expression are welcome. A light dinner will be provided. The next meeting is at Centennial January 23rd in the library and room 127 from 4:00-5:30 pm. A bus will bring Central students to and from the meeting. Centennial students can see Ms. Aikman, Ms. Bonam , Mr. Carter, Mr. Henderson, Ms. Downs, Ms. Fundator, Ms. Gentry, Mr. Turner and Ms. Hutchison for more information.

    The Early Transfer Academy is a program from Parkland College that will allow you to take Parkland Classes, and potentially graduate with an associate’s degree by the end of high school. Parkland College is hosting an informational session for students and parents on Monday, January 22nd at 6:30 pm in U 140 (Student Union). Please RSVP at the College and Career Center website.
