Clubs and Activities

  • Chado, the Way of Tea will be in the library THIS Wednesday at 3:30 pm. This traditional Japanese art will be shared by Japan House from the University of   Illinois. Come experience a ritual hundreds of years in the making.
  • If you are participating in Capital Forum with Ms. Delgado, you must turn in your permissions slips to her in room 112 as soon as possible.
  • Are you a good artist? Do you want to know more about North Korea? Then this fundraiser is just for you! Please support LINK by donating a dollar with your drawing about North Korea. The best poster will win a $15.00 prize, and your poster will be posted at the student hallway. The drawing with a dollar is due by Tuesday, April 3, to room 207E. Contact Mr. Chun for any questions.
  •  Safety Behind the Wheel applications for the summer are available in the main office and the freshman/sophomore center. They are due Friday, May 4th.
  • Senior are you interested in helping plan prom? If so meet in the College and Career Center Thursday, March 29th at 3:30 pm.
  • Last year and this year Freshman students were asked to participate in a survey to understand their social-emotional learning needs. The survey is part of a study at the University of Illinois School of Social Work. The second part of this study is to administer the same survey at the end of this year to measure student growth in social-emotional learning for both Class of 2020 and Class of 2021. If you have questions about the study, please contact Jessica Pitcher, Assistant Principal. If you had any trouble with down loading attachments from email sent out. -2nd hour: Illinois College

-5th hour: Mount Mary University 

-7th hour: Rose Hulman Institute

Wednesday, March 28th

-1st hour: Truman State University 

These visits are open for all students. Please sign up on Naviance to attend these visits, and talk to Mr. Chun in the College and Career Center. 

Semper Fidelis Marines Summer Program

If you are a junior interested learning leadership, building ethical values, and character, consider applying to the Marines Semper Fidelis Summer Program, which will be held July 16th-22nd. There is no cost to participate in the program itself. If you are selected for this program, you will also be recognized in Washington D.C. for your participation. For more information, please go to the College and Career Center Website under the tab "Fun Opportunities". Applications are due April 1st. 

Computer Science @ Illinois Sail 

CS @ ILLINOIS Sail is an annual event that introduces high school students to computer science and student life at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

This Year, it will take place Saturday, April 7th from 9am-6pm at Siebel Center. The event is completely free to students. Go to the CCC website, and click on the “Fun Opportunities” tab to find out more information and register!
